While fall thus far has been unseasonably warm (and smokey), colder weather and the road hazards that accompany it is just around the corner. Be prepared for what's ahead, and make sure your insurance is ready to handle any unexpected accidents.

- Rain, fog, and wet falling leaves all contribute to poor visibility and less traction on the road.
- Watch for deer crossing the road - they are prolific this time of year and can cause a great deal of damage.
- Be prepared to deal with snow and ice, especially on the passes - see note below!

CLEAR THE ROOF

Although it's rare for a roof of a car to collapse due to snow and ice, there are other road
hazards it can cause. While driving, a block of snow/ice can fly off your vehicle into other vehicles on the road, causing damage or an accident. Though it’s not a state law in Washington, it is wise to always remove the snow from your roof to help make the road safer for all. Click for a video to see firsthand why this is important!
