E-bikes have changed the landscape of cycling and it's safe to say that they're here to stay. E-bikes allow you to ride further, faster, and to have more fun. It also evens the playing field to allow friends of differing skill levels to ride together. Have you recently joined the craze? There are a few rules of etiquette to follow when hitting the road on an e-bike. Know the laws: E-bikes and the laws pertaining to them can vary by country and region, so it's important to know how they're regulated where you're riding. We can help you figure this out! Be Seen: Just as on a regular bike, you want to make sure you are easily seen by other motorists. Wear bright colored clothing and use bike lights day and night. Check your speed: Just because you can ride faster doesn't mean you always should. A good rule of thumb is to go with the speed of traffic wherever you are. When passing others, be sure to ask courteously and/or use a bell. Multi-use Paths: E-bikes are not permitted on all multi-use paths so be sure to only ride where it's legal. If riding on a permitted multi-use path be respectful of other users so e-bikes will continue to be permitted!
